With the success of the Edge model phones from Samsung other manufacturers are taking notice. Huawei, Vivo, and Xiaomi have all recently been placing orders with Samsung for some of them. The screens themselves not only offer a unique and stylish look, but they can also be useful. As I found out in my latest review of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+.
It will be nice to see what other manufacturers can do with the screen to make it their own. Since it won’t come with any of Samsung’s software, none of their edge features will be present. That is unless Huawei, Vivo, and Xiaomi add it into their own software. I personally love the look of the dual edge screen and I can’t wait to see what features these other manufacturers come up with.
Vivo is the first out of the gates with it’s Xplay 5. As an image leaked on Weibo gives a look at the Xplay 5 using the Quad HD AMOLED dual edge screen.
