VIZIO has just announced it’s new SmartCast P-Series of TVs with built in Casting from Google Cast, as well as soundbars and speakers. You’ll now be able to send videos directly to the TV without needing a Chromecast or Android TV hooked up. Plus listen to music through apps like Google Play Music on their soundbars and speakers, without a Chromecast Audio dongle.
The VIZIO P-Series supports 4K UHD resolution, HDR, and Ultra Color Spectrum technologies for superior picture quality. Plus there is also a VIZIO SmartCast tablet remote based off Android Lollipop. That’s right there is a gorgeous 6 inch 1080P tablet remote for these TVs, with built in Casting support. It even supports inductive charging so you won’t have to worry about plugging it in to charge. You can also download the SmartCast remote app for Android and iOS.
Finally Google has decided to re-brand the Chromecast app to Google Cast. This better reflects the product as a whole now. Since it supports much more than Chromecast devices, such as Chromecast, TVs, displays, and speakers.
