HTC had a rough time last year with their flagship the M9, and this year could be their comeback. They’ve already teased us with a video. Now photos and possible specs have leaked for their next flagship. Brought to us by @onleaks and @evleaks. They also appear to be dropping the M from the naming scheme. The new phone will just be known as the HTC 10.

First off, looks like they dropped the iPhone esque look from the A9. At least we won’t have to hear about that this time around. Now instead it has some pretty big chamfered edges. Not really a fan of that, but we’ll have to see how it feels in the hand.

Sadly they also lost the front facing speakers, which has been confirmed in previous leaks. That is sure to disappoint their fans. Instead you’ll now find a fingerprint scanner mounted on the front, and the speaker has been moved to the bottom like the HTC A9. On the back under the flash their also appears to be laser focus for the new camera.

The specs from the prototype are a 5.15 inch QHD screen, Snapdragon 820 SoC, Andreno 530, 4GB of RAM, and 12MP rear camera. Also as you can see in the photos it adopts the new USB-C port. Unlike Samsung’s latest flagship phones. The specs sound great as long as they improved the camera. So that it’s more like the ones in the Nexus 6P, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge. Although I think the loss of the front facing boom sound speakers was a big mistake. As well as placing the fingerprint scanner on the front instead of the back.
