Beating AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile to the punch, Verizon has announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Marshmallow update. Looks like if you’re on Verizon you’ll be the first in the US to get the Note 5 Marshmallow update. Bear in mind that’s still months after the Nexus devices got it. Plus several other phones have already received it. Sadly I think this is actually fast for Samsung.

This new update will bring some great features such as Doze, App Permissions, and Now on Tap. You’ll also be getting some new icons and a search bar for apps. Plus you’ll be losing some bloat, well OK one app. The Amazon App Store has been removed. You can check the full release notes here.

We also have good news for all you HTC One M8 users on Verizon. Mo Versi product manager at HTC took to Twitter, to also announce that the HTC One M8 will receive Marshmallow starting March 7th. While you should see Doze, App Permissions, and Now on Tap just like the Note 5 users. Their is no mention in the full notes for the update, which you can see here.
