Qualcomm’s ever so subtle tweet has officially confirmed that the G5 is packing the Snapdragon 820 inside. This is of course not news to anyone who’s been following along with rumors about the G5. Still it’s nice when we get something officially confirmed.
At this point it’s pretty much assumed that the Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, and HTC M10 will all be using the Snapdragon 820. Which as we’ve seen from benchmarks from the LeEco Le Max Pro and the Galaxy S7 Edge, it is a beast of a CPU. The one exception is the Galaxy S7 which will probably use an Exynos in one of it’s variants.
