Blu announced their two new Vivo phones today the Vivo 5 and Vivo XL. While neither of these two phones will turn heads with their specs. They will definitely catch some attention for their style and price. Both are have aluminum bodies, but only the Vivo 5 appears to have a unibody metal body.

They don’t differ too much in specs though. They both come with a 5.5 inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, Mediatek 6753 1.3 GHz Octa-Core CPU, MALI-T720 graphics GPU, 13MP rear facing camera, 5MP front facing camera, microSD card slots, USB-C ports, and 3150mAh batteries. Where they do differ is the Vivo 5 will give you 3GB of ram and 32GB of storage. While the Vivo XL despite the XL will offer 2GB of ram and 32GB of storage. Another thing they both share is shipping with Android 5.1, although Blu says an update to Marshmallow is planned.

While those internals might not excite many people. It is exciting to see such affordable unlocked phones these days coming with premium metal builds. As well as new tech like USB-C or fingerprint scanners like on the Huawei 5X. The Vivo XL will launch in January, while the Vivo 5 will follow sometime in February.
