AnTuTu is one of the most popular benchmarking apps for Android. It’s a great way to get an idea of how fast your phone is, and to see how it compares to other phones on the market. However benchmark scores don’t tell the whole story and some phones even try to game the system.

According to the chart the Apple iPhone 6S Plus took the top spot of the year. While all the Android phones were behind by a wide margin. Top spot for Android phones went to the Huawei Mate 8. Which was released back in December in China, but wasn’t announced globally until CES in January. The Mate 8 is running Huawei’s own in house CPU the Kirin 950.

The Meizu Pro 5 takes the third slot with the second largest gap in performance scores. It is running the Samsung Exynos 7420 CPU. Which is the same CPU you’ll find the the next two phones the Note 5 and S6 Edge+. Then we have the iPhone 6 Plus. Followed by the Oneplus 2, Letv One Pro, Xiaomi Note Pro, and finally the Nexus 6P. All of the last four are running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 CPU.

It’s important to note that some phones might have an easier time with a 1080P resolution display. Like the iPhones, Mate 8, Meizu Pro 5, and Oneplus 2. The Note 5, S6 Edge+, Letv One Pro, Xiaomi Note Pro, and Nexus 6P all have Quad HD resolutions. Which gives them more pixels to push and harder on the graphics chip. Plus there is also a software component, as some are running Lollipop and others are on Marshmallow.

No matter what though if you have one of these phones from 2015, be glad in knowing you’ve got one of the fastest phones of the year.
