So you just bought yourself a Sony Xperia Z1S? Welcome! Truely a remarkable phone out of the box, But what to do even more? Thats where rooting comes into play. Rooting your device lets you enjoy your android device even more by further customizing it.

Step 1:
Make sure you back up everything on your phone.
Make sure you are doing this on a Windows based computer.
Make sure you have all the necessary drivers installed on your computer.
Step 2:
Download ADB and save it to a new folder on your desktop
Download PWN and save it to the same new folder on your desktop
Step 3:
A: Extract the files in the new folder you created on your desktop (ADB & PWN) Right click each file and select extract here.
B: Enable USB debugging on your Xperia Device by going to Menu> Settings> Developer Options> USB debugging. (If you cant locate Developer options, Go to Menu> Settings> About Phone> Click on build number repeatedly until you device says “ You are now a developer”).
C: Also enable Unknown Sources by going to Menu> Settings> Security> Unknown Sources.
D: Plug in your Xperia to the PC Using the USB Data cable.
E: Go to the folder you created on your desktop and Launch the Command Prompt Window on your desktop by holding down shift and right click on a blank area on your screen and select Open Command Window Here.
F: Type the following commands into the Command Prompt. Make sure you hit enter after each line : adb push pwn /data/local/tmp/pwn adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/pwn adb shell /data/local/tmp/pwn
G: When thats finished, type in the following command: adb reboot
H: Your device should be rebooting.
I: When the Xperia finishes booting up, Go to in the Google Play Store and download and install SuperSU on the Phone.
J: Thats All. You are now rooted. To confirm that you are rooted you can download Root Checker from the Google Play Store
Congratulations! Now you have a Sony Xperia Z1S Rooted! You have opened your device to a whole new world of options!
